The new switching offer also includes up to £120 in cashback rewards over the first year.
Between April and June there was a whopping 10 per cent rise in the number of people ditching their current bank and switching to a new provider, according to the latest figures from the Current Account Switch Service . The ongoing trend of ‘ditching and switching’ to make some free cash looks set to continue this summer as TSB have dropped a new deal, offering £100 upfront.
To receive the £100, customers must make a minimum of five payments using their debit card including using Google/Apple pay on their new Spend and Save or Spend and Save Plus account and log into the TSB Mobile Banking app at least once, by September 27, 2024. For Spend and Save Plus, the same cashback is available for the first six months, and it will then revert to £5 cashback a month . The Spend and Save Plus account comes with a £3 monthly ‘maintaining the account fee’.
