Even former President Donald Trump has taken notice of Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots' struggles.
The Patriots' struggles have caught the attention of former U.S. President Donald Trump, who commented on Foxborough's fallen fortunes during his re-election campaign stop in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire on Monday.
Known for holding a relationship with Belichick , Trump said he would normally place the Patriots in that slot but it wouldn't make sense in the light of recent happenings. Some believe that Belichick might be on the hot seat but Trump has a little more faith in his friend.
In the Patriots' place, Trump placed the Philadelphia Eagles, who have reached two of the last six Super Bowls, including a victorious trek to the 52nd edition against New England after the 2017 season. Philadelphia opened this season with a win over the Patriots and hosts one of the two undefeated teams left on the current league ledgers, the other residing in San Francisco.
