A Pennsylvania man who was killed at a rally for former President Donald Trump has been identified as Corey Comperatore . Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro spoke with the Comperatore's wife and two daughters prior to a news conference held at the Butler Township Police Department headquarters Sunday afternoon.Comperatore was described as a girl dad and a firefighter. Shapiro said he was an avid supporter of the former president and was excited to be at the rally Saturday.
Only minutes after former president Donald Trump began to speak at the Butler Farm Show grounds, multiple shots rang out over the crowd.Secret Service swarmed the stage, covering Trump and pulling him to the ground. Comperatore was killed and two other attendees were critically injured in the assassination attempt against the former president.
