Troy bested the Warhawks off the back of a strong full team effort, with the standouts being senior forward Ja’Mia Hollings with a double-double performance of 22 points and 16 rebounds and senior guard Makayia Hallmon with 19 points. With the win, their third straight in the 2024 WNIT and the third postseason win in program history, the Trojans will get to stay right at home on Wednesday, April 3 when they welcome in the Minnesota Golden Gophers for a “Fab 4″ matchup.
“We are playing the semifinal game of a national tournament in Trojan Arena,” Troy head coach Chanda Rigby said. “This feels like a dream. We are asking all Trojans to be there Wednesday night to help us make history.” Wednesday’s game will tip off at 6 p.m., with tickets priced at $5 for general admission, free admission for Troy students and $10 for parking.
