The Spurs, who led by as many as 27 points in the third quarter, dropped their first three exhibition games with Johnson sidelined because of a shoulder injury he suffered before the start of training camp two weeks ago. “I felt good,” he said. “I was just happy to be back out there with my teammates after watching them through camp and barely getting to go up and down with them.”“I saw great leadership from our young veterans,” Popovich said, referring to Johnson and Vassell.
