They will be sentenced in March
Three men have been found guilty of the 'terrifying' violent robbery of the brothers of England footballers Marcus Rashford and Trent Alexander-Arnold in a Moss Side café.
During the trial, jurors heard that Mr Rashford - brother of Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford - and Mr Alexander-Arnold - brother of Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold - were attacked and robbed of a £70,000 car and watches while eating breakfast with friends on the morning of January 12, 2019.
Mr Alexander-Arnold was not wearing a watch, so instead handed over his wallet and the keys to his £70,000 Range Rover. Mr Rashford was made to hand over a Rolex worth £22,000, and Mr Dunne-Simon a Rolex worth up to £4,000. After speeding along Princess Road in convoy, they turned onto Hart Road, in Fallowfield, where they 'flew' past a police car travelling up to 70mph, the court heard. The car was next seen on CCTV turning onto Boland Drive just after 10.22am.
Harmer's DNA was found on the shotgun and a mask seized in the house. Dervan's DNA was also found on another mask and Lemonious's on another. The three defendants were arrested and interviewed by police with Dervan, of no fixed abode, and Lemonious, of Shady Lane, Wythenshawe, answering 'no comment'.
