Darrel Sturgeon, 21, was discovered by officers off the B741, near Straiton in Ayrshire, at around 7.35am on Thursday.
Tributes have been paid to a "lovely" young biker who was found dead nine hours after police were alerted to a crash via an automated text.

After receiving the alert on Friday night, officers attended and carried out a thorough search of the area, making a number of additional enquiries. Cops, however, were unable to locate the crash site.
