Professor Alison Britton discovered evidence which proved that woman were given mesh implants and suffered life-changing injuries despite not requiring treatment.
A number of tributes have flooded in for a Glasgow professor who is credited with touching thousands of lives and uncovered one of the biggest medical scandals of the modern era.
