Former Mayor of Rossendale, Trevor Unsworth, has passed away
Former Mayor of Rossendale, Trevor Unsworth, of Staghills Road, passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on January 6 at the age of 78. It is understood that he died of a heart condition.
“Like many of his generation Trevor left school at 15, working for the Co-op for many years. Late in life he obtained a degree despite having very poor eyesight - he was delighted with this achievement.” His two granddaughters were studying at the same time as their grandad at Blackburn College. Tony Winder met Anne and Trevor from the 90’s and got to know him more through the political arena when he worked with the County Council between 2009 and 2013.
