Williams earned the honor in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie category, and was nominated alongsideWilliams' onscreen wife paid tribute to him on Instagram following his death, with Watts sharing a photo of her costar while telling her followers that she was "heartbroken by the news" of his death.
"His work is extraordinary. Not only did I get to discover what a remarkable professional he was, but I made a friend, and saw what a devoted husband and father he was. Treat was one of a kind, truly enchanted with life," Watts wrote. "Treat, I didn’t know you nearly long enough, but it was enough for me to realize that the world has lost someone special. Thank you for being the best scene partner. I absolutely cherished our time playing together.
