What’s happening What’s driving markets Benchmark 10-year yields nudged lower ahead of a crucial few days, with the U.S. consumer price index published on Tuesday and the Federal Reserve delivering its monetary policy decision on Wednesday. The central bank is expected to take its Fed funds rate target to 4.95% by May 2023, according to 30-day Fed Funds futures, and only start easing very slightly by the end of that year.
