Travis Scott stops performance to ensure fan safety after Astroworld tragedy trvisXX
American rapper Travis Scott stopped his performance on Monday to ensure fans were safe, eight month after the Astroworld tragedy that killed ten people and injured thousands of others.
The Sicko Mode rapper told members of the audience who were climbing on a metal truss near the stage to “get down” several times. In video footage shared online of a performance at the Coney Art Walls in Coney Island, the rapper is seen performing alongside fellow US rapper Meek Mills.Later on, the pair ensured that other people in the crowd are okay and told members of security not to push on the barricades at the venue.
A day after the Astroworld tragedy, Travis took to Twitter to share a statement saying that he was 'devastated'.“My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival.”
