PARIS — Rapper Travis Scott has been arrested following an alleged fight involving a security guard and his own bodyguard at a luxury hotel in central Paris, French authorities said on Friday. 'I can confirm that on August 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard,' the Paris prosecutor's officer said in a statement.
Scott, 33, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, was pictured in the crowd at the men's Olympic basketball semifinal on Thursday, in which the U.S. team came from behind to secure a narrow 4-point victory and proceed to the final and a shot at winning gold. The George V hotel, near Paris's famous Champs-Élysées and with views of the Eiffel Tower, boasts multiple Michelin-starred restaurants.
