Road closures remain in place around Bispham Road, Wennington Road, Old Park Lane, Canning Road Thornton Road, Newton Street
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision at the junction of Bispham Road and Wennington Road in Southport. Officers were called shortly before 7am today and the male biker was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who has sadly lost his life following a collision earlier this morning. We have now launched an investigation into his death and his family have been informed.
