A 38-year-old man was arrested following the collision
A teenage boy has died after being hit by a car on a busy Oldham road. Emergency services raced out to Rochdale Road, near the junction with King Street, at around 8.10pm on Tuesday night .
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he sadly died in hospital yesterday . GMP says his family are being supported by specially trained officers. A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving following the collision. He has since been released on bail.
