Town staff has issued aAssistant Town Manager Arn Andrews said this a turnkey operation, and the new owners would be responsible for preserving the 100-year-old building, handling day-to-day operations and engaging the community through events and programs.
Arn said the town does want to make sure the new owners can keep the theater financially stable in both the short and long term. The town has already heard from interested parties, and Andrews took three different companies on a walk-through of the building Feb. 10. They are hoping for at least three to five applicants, if not more.
The deadline to submit a proposal is March 4 at 5 p.m. A panel of town staff will review the proposals and aim to make a decision by April.
