A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon
The weather forecast isn't great for this weekend but if you break out the waterproofs, there's still plenty of enjoyment to be had exploring Lancashire.
Even so, it remains a very interesting place to visit and the challenging conditions will make completing the journey all the more satisfying - and the log burner at the pub at the end will be all the more enjoyable for it.The tower itself stands overlooking the town at a height of 1225ft and is 86feet tall. It is the most prominent landmark in the area and is open to the public free of charge.
