The Premier League have reportedly made the decision to replace Darren England as fourth Official for Nottingham Forest’s Premier League clash against Brentford, after an error in the game between Liverpool and Tottenham.
In a statement on Saturday night, the Professional Game Match Officials Limited admitted that a ‘significant human error’ led to the goal being disallowed, when it should have been awarded. Assistant VAR official Dan Cook has also been replaced as assistant referee for Fulham vs Chelsea on Monday night following the mistake. He has been replaced by Eddie Smart.
