Undercover police in Torquay carry out stop and searches to tackle street crime.
The force said the operation resulted in five arrests and a further arrest was made after officers received information from a member of the public
Police recently seized a vehicle, lock knife and drugs as part of an undercover operation to tackle street crime in Torquay. Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Stop searches have been carried out with the aim of seizing drugs, dangerous weapons and to gather intelligence in an effort to disrupt people looking to commit crime."
Insp Chris Lithgow, who leads the neighbourhood team in Torquay, said: “Operations like these are the bread and butter of policing."The force said the operation resulted in five arrests and a further arrest was made after officers received information from a member of the public.
