A CLYDEBANK secondary school has been given a glowing report card by inspectors.
Scotland team visited the school in December and gave “very good” ratings to the leadership of change; learning, teaching and assessment; and ensuring wellbeing, equality and inclusion.Headteacher Jacqui Lynam was praised for demonstrating “strong, strategic and thoughtful leadership” supported by senior and middle leaders, and for very successfully creating an empowering culture of staff leading change across the school.
Staff at the school were praised for successfully increasing the range of courses and programmes on offer in and outwith the school which is helping them to meet the learning needs of more young people in the community. The report added that “young people’s wellbeing and learning needs are met very effectively by highly proactive staff” who work very well with a range of partners and external agencies to ensure “young people thrive in an inclusive environment.”
“I would like to thank the headteacher and all the staff for their dedication to achieving the best for the young people they look after and for ensuring every pupil within their care is nurtured and encouraged to achieve their best.”
