Racism storm hits Rugby World Cup after England's defeat in Paris
The World Cup’s official app, “Ref Talk” picked up a comment by Curry with 23 minutes played when, clearly agitated, he approached the New Zealander referee Ben O’Keeffe and said: “Sir, if their hooker calls me a white c**t, what do I do?”After a short pause O’Keeffe says “I’ll be on it” but it is unclear as to whether he is still speaking to Curry or addressing a different aspect of play.
The window for any complaint to be brought by the independent citing officer is 36 hours after the final whistle, during which time World Rugby cannot comment.
