The Rangers boss decided to take the midfielder off at break in the Viaplay Cup semi-final with Hearts with the score sitting level at 0-0 with his replacement Scott Wright making a huge impact.
Andy Halliday believes Todd Cantwell may not be 'as fancied' by Philippe Clement as he branded his half-time withdrawl as 'quite an interesting one'.
Post-match Clement explained Cantwell coming off was a tactical decision with the former Norwich City man also on a yellow card. But Halliday reckons it may be slightly deeper than that. He told Clyde SSB: "The Todd Cantwell one is pretty funny because it seems as if he's not as fancied by Philippe Clement. I know we're very, very early in saying that but to bring him off at half time for tactical reasons was quite an interesting one.
