The Record Sports columnist has dismantled Cantwell's claims and wonders why Ibrox star acts like the 'victim.'
Chris Sutton reckons Todd Cantwell is acting like a victim as he fired back at barbs from the Rangers star.
“It’s just another look-at-me episode from a lad who is known more for what does on Tik Tok than what he’s done on the pitch. The frustrating thing is that for someone who to date has had a bang average career, he doesn’t half have a high opinion of himself. “He claimed that Bayern Munich almost signed him. That’s great, I almost invented the television set. But I didn’t. Cantwell ended up loaned to Bournemouth and Scott Parker didn’t see enough from him there, either.“He spoke about being asked to train with the Under-23s as barbaric. Who does he think he is?
“I don’t know what Rangers fans make of all of this. I certainly know what some of their highly-respected and trophy-laden ex-players think about it, but that’s for them to say. “That is our memory of him in the big games. So I would reiterate to him: do you talking on the pitch. “I’d have thought with Beale axed and Clement coming in the door, it’s a time to stay quiet. Take your share of responsibility and keep your head down for the good of the whole squad.
