DC Titans Beast Boy actor Ryan Potter becomes Mark Grayson in stunning Invincible art from 21xfour

Compelling new fan art makes the case for Titans' star Ryan Potter to lead the live-action Invincible movie. Invincible started out in 2003 as a comic book written by Robert Kirkman and featuring art by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. In 2021, Invincible became a hit adult animated series on Amazon Prime Video, with audiences and critics alike getting pulled into the comics' expansive world and nuanced characters.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Digital artist 21XFOUR shared on Twitter an incredible preview of what Potter's Mark Grayson could look like if he were cast in the Invincible live-action movie. Potter has been fancast for some time as Mark Grayson, ever since Invincible season 1 cast Steven Yeun in the title role and Mark Grayson became a half-Asian character in the animated series. In Kirkman's source material, Invincible has always been presumed white, but it was never explicitly stated, which gave the writer freedom to introduce an interesting cultural aspect in the animated series that helped differentiate the show from the comics.

How The Invincible Live-Action Movie Can Differ From The Show The Invincible live-action movie will inevitably be compared to the successful series, which has full seasons of hour-long episodes at its disposal to tell the comic book's expansive story.

Both the series and the comics start with Mark discovering his powers while in high school, with the character later moving on to college in the comics. The live-action Invincible movie could start with Mark in college, which would open up the movie for a more mature take on the story. This move would also increase Potter's chances of being cast in the title role, with the actor standing at 27 years old, but looking young enough to play Mark at college age.
