Something for users of the tip to be aware of
A Nottinghamshire tip will be closing for a full week so that 'essential maintenance' can be carried out at the site. Nottinghamshire County Council says that urgent drainage works are needed at the Mansfield Recycling Centre on Kestral Road.
The site is operated by Veoila on behalf of the county council, with 11 other sites available in the area. Residents in Mansfield are being advised that their nearest alternative sites will be Bilsthorpe, Warsop and Hucknall. The closure will last from January 19 until the site reopens at 8am on January 28. Steve Newman, general manager for Veolia Nottinghamshire, said: "This essential maintenance is required to ensure the site remains compliant with environmental legislation."We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
"Residents are free to use any of our other 11 sites across the county. We are sorry for any inconvenience but thank residents for their understanding." All of Nottinghamshire's recylcing centres are open from 8am until 4pm. People must be registered with the county council to use any Nottinghamshire sites.
