Mo'Bay Shack started by selling rum punch but has become a popular restaurant
Lorraine Allen's rum punch had always been a hit at family parties, so she decided she wanted to share the drink with more people.
She said: "I'm Jamaican on my dad's side - he's from Jamaica. My husband is from Montego Bay in Jamaica, so that's where the Mo'Bay Shack name is from. She explained: "We'd had the idea for a while but by the time we got everything sorted with setting it up as a company was December 2019. Then in March 2020 we had lockdown.
"We saw this place online on eBay, we went for it. There were three people interested in it but they wanted us to have it because they thought we had a great idea and we've been here since May 2021." "We got fed up of hearing 'where's the jerk?' or 'where's the curry?' in the end. We put a post on Facebook saying 'we've listened, we've heard and we've decided we're doing this'.
