Thunder Waive TyTy Washington Jr; Sign Lindy Waters III To Two-Way Deal - RealGM Wiretap
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Friday that they have waived guard TyTy Washington Jr. The Thunder will reportedly sign Lindy Waters III to a two-way contract to fill the newly opened roster spot.
Washington was acquired by Oklahoma City in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks this offseason. The Thunder also acquired Usman Garuba, Rudy Gay and 2026 second-round pick in exchange for Patty Mills in the deal. Washington played in 31 games as a rookie with the Houston Rockets last season. He averaged 4.7 points in 14 minutes per game.
Waters has spent the last two seasons with the Thunder. In 41 games last year, he averaged 5.2 points in 12.9 minutes per game.
