Manchester City returned to winning ways against Brighton on Saturday but lost Manuel Akanji to a second yellow and the defender will miss Sunday's Manchester Derby.
Manchester City were made to fight for three points on Saturday as they held on to a 2-1 win at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Things were a little nervy in the final minutes and that feeling intensified when Manuel Akanji was sent off. Dias straight swap Ruben Dias was the surprise omission from the starting line-up against Brighton with Guardiola opting for the pace of Akanji to partner the returning John Stones. But Dias has been City's Mr. Reliable and would be the obvious choice to come in for the suspended defender. Left-footer needed Dias was not involved in either league game against United last season, and although the latter was due to injury, Guardiola insisted his decision to drop the Portugal international for the 6-3 win last October was tactical. "We need a right foot and a left foot and Nathan I have confidence in him, all the actions in the first half he did it perfectly."
