Three SWAT officers were shot Tuesday night while executing a search warrant at a Kansas City, Missouri, home, authorities said. It led to a standoff with the suspected gunman that was ongoing hours later, according to The Missouri State Highway Patrol, which KCTV says was called in to investigate the shooting as a third-party agency, said the officers knocked at the door of a residence and were shot after trying to enter.
Betsy Webster, with CBS Kansas City, Missouri affiliate KCTV, tweeted that there was a"large presence of officers" at a local hospital and that the emergency entrance was blocked by crime tape:
