Two men were arrested following the incident in Rothwell, Leeds, on Sunday, police say.
Three officers were injured during disorder in Leeds at the weekend, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The officers suffered minor injuries after a crowd gathered around the car as the driver was being dealt with.
