Two people were stabbed and a third person arrested with apparent self-inflicted wounds in connection with a stabbing late Wednesday in west Houston, police said.
Officers around 8:30 p.m. responded to the 9900 block of Richmond Avenue and found a man and woman with stab wounds, Lt. Larry Crowson, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. Both were taken to a hospital, where the woman had serious injuries. The man was also injured and is expected to survive.
Investigators found a third person, another man, while searching the area after the stabbing, Crowson said. The second man had apparent self-inflicted stab wounds. Witnesses told police the three people might have been in an apartment when an argument broke out and lead to the stabbing, Crowson said.
