For the May 1-8 National Teacher Appreciation Week, the teachers and runners-up, along with winners from 130 schools, will be honored at the virtual Day of the Teacher celebration on May 3 at 5 p.m.
Andrea Loyko from Clay Elementary School, Joe Paulson from Marston Middle School and Josh Rosenberg from Scripps Ranch High School were named San Diego Unified School District's 2022 Teachers of the Year today.
"I am honored to lead a district that employs the finest teachers in the nation," said newly appointed Superintendent Lamont Jackson."This year's Teachers of the Year make that undoubtedly apparent. The virtual ceremony — co-hosted by North Island Credit Union — will feature original student created-content performed by students from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts.
