HANGZHOU: China launched the torch relay for its COVID-delayed Asian Games on Friday with thousands of people lining the streets of the host city Hangzhou.

Archaeologist Xu Tianjing and writer Mai Jia exchange the flame during the Asian Games torch relay in Hangzhou, in China's eastern Zhejiang province on Sep 8, 2023.
