As Thor takes on the God of Hammers in Marvel Comics, his mighty hammer Mjolnir is used against him in a gruesome way that reveals just how powerful the hammer truly is.
The God of Hammers has arrived in the Marvel Universe and turned Thor's hammer Mjolnir into a weapon that he can't stop. In Thor #21, the God of Thunder tries to stop the living embodiment of Mjolnir from causing more death across the Ten Realms. However, he quickly finds out the hammer he once controlled with ease has become a bigger, more dangerous problem than ever before.
In his current ongoing series at Marvel Comics, Thor's hammer has increasingly become a bigger problem for the hero. The All-Father struggled to control Mjolnir as it became more and more unpredictable as its enchantment faded - even being wielded by the unworthy. Eventually, Thor decided to leave his trusted weapon with the Avengers as the God of Hammer's prophecy grew, foretelling the King of Asgard's death.
Thor is stunned after learning Mjolnir has broken him, as his former weapon hurt him like never before. The God of Hammer taunts him about being broken, before using Mjolnir to seriously injure Odin. That's when the God of Hammers admits she's grown tired with Thor's control and lack of understanding, telling him she merged with Mangog inside the sun to create an even bigger monster.
The God of Hammers has shockingly turned Mjolnir into an all-new kind of weapon against Thor. For the hero, who's had the hammer by his side for most of his life, seeing Mjolnir battle against him and become his biggest villain ever has got to feel bad. Taking down Mjolnir and the God of Hammers won't be easy, especially since she knows how to hit Thor where it hurts. .
