Pedro Point Headlands offers a hike with unrivaled views, starting just beyond Pacifica State Beach next to Ace Hardware.
Spectacular views of San Pedro Rock, the Pacific Ocean and distant parts of the Bay Area are abundant if you’re lucky enough to tackle this trek on a clear day, which can be hard to predict in Pacifica.You can see for miles up the coastline when the weather is right. I spotted iconic landmarks like San Bruno Mountain, Sutro Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands, Mount Tamalpais and Point Reyes. But the reward isn’t without some sweat equity donated to the mountain gods.
