This week it is a full set of Premier League games to decide on, because Harry the Hippie who organises it, has obviously also been missing his Prem fix . West Ham won two FA Cups during this period. Fine footballers like Trevor Brooking and Alan Devonshire were backed up by strong characters like Billy Bonds, Ray Stewart and Alvin Martin.
Even the excellent Paul Goddard struggled to get into this team and he would leave the Irons to become a then Toon record signing later in 1986.Kevin Keegan had steered us away from the relegation zone in his Third Coming and we both had a few pints with the locals in the Boleyn after an entertaining game in which Newcastle came back from a two goal deficit to draw 2-2.
West Ham are four points above us having played a game more. Newcastle have a far superior goal difference. Beat them and things will be starting to look good again.
