A ZIP code in Irving is the hottest in Texas and one of the hottest in the country for home sales, according to an analysis by a real estate website.
An Irving ZIP code was named the hottest in Texas for home sales by a new study.
Realtor.com found that homes in the city’s 75060 ZIP code sold faster and received more online views from prospective buyers on average than any others in Texas. In June, the median listing price for a home in 75060 topped $339,000, according to the study. Listings spent an average of 18 days on the market before being snapped up, and homes received 2.5 more views than the average U.S. listing.
“Buyers this year have been faced with rising prices and mortgage rates, a double-whammy of declining affordability,” the study says. “As a result, buyers have set their sights on areas that offer good bang for their buck.”Homes in the hottest ZIP codes were larger than similar homes, with a median square footage of 1,946 — about 60 square feet bigger than other listings.
Irving’s 75060 is bound by Rock Island Road to the north, Trinity River to the south, Trinity View Park to the east and South Belt Line Road to the west. This year’s list of hottest ZIP codes is largely dominated by the Northeast U.S., with eight of the top 10 coming from New England. The complete analysis is available
