A woman in the road on the poster for Wolf Creek
The Wolf Creek franchise is getting a long-anticipated reboot movie, which is fantastic news for the cult fan base of this unconventional slasher series. Created by writer-director Greg McLean, this franchise began in 2005 with the original Wolf Creek. Set in the Australian outback, the plot revolves around three unsuspecting backpackers who get hunted and captured by a sadistic, xenophobic serial killer named Mick Taylor, played by John Jarratt.
