On June 11, Oregon Governor Kate Brown put a one-week pause on all further reopening efforts after seeing a spike in new cases of COVID-19 in both urban and rural areas, along with an uptick in hospitalizations in several counties. “In order to ensure that the virus is not spreading too quickly, I am putting all county applications for further reopening on hold for seven days.
