What Being Trained By Logain Means For Rand's Power Level As the reincarnation of the Dragon, Rand is by far the strongest channeler in The Wheel of Time books. But while his TV counterpart’s abilities are already impressive, he’s nowhere near the strength of the book character at the peak of his power. Naturally, Rand has a long way to go before he can become that powerful. For the original character, getting to that point took a long time.
Logain's New Role Makes A Major Forsaken Story Unlikely The idea that Logain specifically will teach Rand how to channel is of particular importance, and not just because of what the False Dragon brings to the table. If Logain becomes his teacher, The Wheel of Time will have no need for Rand to give the same job to Asmodean later on. In the books, Asmodean is one of the 13 Forsaken, the ancient channelers who serve the Dark One.
