Kaylan Lee, 19, defied court orders to traumatise the girl
A young man has been jailed for over a 'deeply unpleasant' campaign of violence and threats against a girl. Kaylan Lee, now 19, defied two court orders to continue to terrorise the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, either threatening her or physically attacking her, a court heard.
Manchester Crown Court heard he told his victim she 'dressed like a s**g' and tried to prevent her from meeting friends. The girl, who is under 18, told police Lee once threw a Lucozade bottle at her, punched her to the head and kicked her in the stomach, the court was told. Lee demanded to know where she was all the time, the court was told. She later told police she had become physically and mentally drained, adding: "Enough is enough. It's gone too far. I can see how this is going to end. I'm losing sleep... the harassment has been going on for such a long time and it seems never-ending."
'I would be failing if I simply let you be released' Lee was convicted of stalking, two breaches of a civil non-molestation order, controlling and coercive behaviour and criminal damage, and a crown court judge handed him a community order for these offences in October 2023 having spent some time on remand.
The defendant had an 'appalling and serious history' of offending against the girl and had shown a 'complete disregard' for the orders imposed on him, said Judge Johnston, who criticised his 'clear and entrenched behaviour which has caused a significant degree of harm' against his victim.
