The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued more than two dozen flood alerts and flood warnings – the more serious category – with “relentless” rain predicted over the Southern Highlands and western Central Belt.
As a result, several SPFL fixtures have already been postponed due to waterlogged pitches. In the Scottish Premiership, Dundee v Ross County has been cancelled after the surface at Dens Park failed an inspection. A statement on the club website read:"Following the referee’s pitch inspection this morning, today’s cinch Premiership match with Ross County has been postponed.
