The nominees for the Scottish 'Restaurant of the Year' award have been revealed, including mouth-watering spots in destinations such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen.
Scotland is renowned for its many delicious food spots all over the country, from the major cities to small coastal villages. The Scottish Licensed Trade News Awards celebrates the best of these, and the nominees have been announced ahead of the award ceremony next month.
The two Scots restaurants battling it out for the Casual Dining award are The Silver Darling in Aberdeen and The Pierhouse Hotel in Appin. The Pierhouse Hotel, meanwhile, is tucked away in the quaint village of Port Appin along the shores of Loch Linnhe in Argyll. The hotel's restaurant, which also has an average rating of 4.5 out of five on Tripadvisor based on 672 reviews, serves up traditional Scottish delicacies and fresh local seafood.
Dean Banks at the Pompadour, which is set within the opulent Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh hotel, is known for its seasonal menus that showcase Scotland’s natural resources. On Tripadvisor, the restaurant has an average rating of five out of five based on 289 reviews.
