The Plough, a country pub in Nottinghamshire, has been crowned the best pub in the county at the National Pub and Bar Awards. The pub will now compete for the regional title against four other pubs in the East Midlands.
A Nottinghamshire country pub that is no stranger to winning awards has triumphed again. The Plough , in Normanton-on-the-Wolds, has won the 2024 crown for the best pub in Nottinghamshire in the National Pub and Bar Awards.
The five in the East Midlands will compete against each other for the regional title, with the winner announced at a ceremony on June 26, along with the overall UK champion. The Plough, in Old Melton Road, will go head to head with The Railway in Belper, Derbyshire, The Forge Inn in Leicestershire, The Tollemache Arms, Northampton and The Olive Branch in Rutland.
They said: "We are all so thrilled and proud. Thank you to our incredible team for their professionalism, dedication, passion and hospitality obsession, that has delivered this award. Thank you also to YOU! Our loyal customers."

New managers of Nottinghamshire pub praise response since taking overThe new managers of a Nottinghamshire pub have praised the "absolutely brilliant" response they have had since taking over ahead of an expected £300,000 revamp.
