Obsidian Entertainment has been fairly quiet about The Outer Worlds 2, but the developer's CEO says it's coming along 'really well.'
While many of us are waiting to dive into the Avowed achievements, Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming RPG set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, things have been rather quiet about The Outer Worlds 2 since it was announced in 2021. Quiet doesn't always mean things are bad, however, as Obsidian's CEO says, 'The Outer Worlds 2's development is 'going really well, and that it looks 'incredible.
Grounded, Pentiment, Avowed, and the Outer Worlds DLC were in development, and plans for Outer Worlds 2 were in motion, leading Obsidian to be 'kind of a crappy developer for about a year, a year and a half.' Urquhart says there were talks about stopping 'work on Outer Worlds 2 and just throw the whole team on Avowed,' but the developer wanted to keep pushing on. 'I appreciate Microsoft and the teams. We said, 'No, we will get there.
