Hello, Today's edition of the Nottinghamian brings news of a million pound boost to Nottinghamshire's arts and culture sites. It is hoped the investment, which will be shared across 19 organisations, will ensure more people have access to culture locally.

The Arts Council’s Levelling Up for Culture Places in Nottinghamshire will receive £1.2 million of new investment. This includes Mansfield Museum and Mansfield Palace Theatre, Newark Museum, Newark Palace Theatre and National Civil War Centre. Established organisations such as Nottingham Playhouse, The National Holocaust Centre and Museum and Writing East Midlands will also see investment.

T-shirt success A local man who set up an independent clothing label has spoken about his pride at the rapper Drake's dad being pictured wearing one of his designs. Peter Banton, 35, created MoneyBaggs Clothing 10 years ago and features many different designs including T-shirts, hoodies and backpacks with the distinctive logo.

From hobby to publication An author from Newstead Village has released his first book of short stories that are influenced by the village he lives in. Jim Gibson wrote 'Bygones' as a hobby in the evening while he was working as a gardener and several of the stories were written during lockdown.
