The Original Avengers Had Four Missions Together The MCU teased the formation of the Avengers team in the post-credits scene of Iron Man, where Nick Fury arrived at Tony Stark’s house to talk to him about the Avengers Initiative.
That was the last mission of the original Avengers team, as after it, Tony retired from active duty and the Sokovia Accords in Captain America: Civil War fractured the team beyond repair, dividing it into Team Iron Man and Team Captain America.
