New York Yankees star prospect Jasson Dominguez, nicknamed 'The Martian,' is slated to be with Somerset for a series against Harrisburg this week.
The 20-year-old Dominguez earned “The Martian” nickname because he is considered to be a five-tool player with talent that “is not of this world.”
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound outfielder signed with the Yankees for a franchise record $5.1 million signing bonus. He is off to a slow start with Somerset, but recently hit his first homer of the yearAlso, former MLB outfielder Harrison Bader is listed on the Patriots’ roster for a rehab assignment. Harrisburg is managed by former Major Leaguer Delino DeShields. The team is 8-7 on the season, and there are several interesting promotions running for the Somerset series.
Tuesday is “Tattered Tuesday” and current and former military members and their families get buy one, get one free tickets with a limit of four tickets per transaction. The team is giving away a 40-inch flatscreen ever inning to a fan on Friday, and on Sunday the first 4,000 fans through the gate receive a free Hersheypark ticket.
