A Wetherspoons superfan has has visited 426 of the chain's pubs, but is still only halfway towards his goal of having a drink in every one. Stephen O'Loughlin, 74, has spent eight years travelling around the country visiting Spoons, YorkshireLive reports.
Stephen, of Marsh in Huddersfield, said: "It's a great way of seeing the country. I've been to every Wetherspoons between here and John o' Groats. So, all those little towns in Scotland which you may have heard of, they've got a Wetherspoons and I've been to them all." Stephen was referring to how every Wetherspoon pub has its own unique carpet design - an aspect he finds remarkable. He particularly loves how "every one of them is like a little mini-museum," referencing the placards on the walls of the pubs, informing customers about the history of the building and the area it's located.
