It can be difficult entertaining the kids during the Easter holidays, but we are fortunate here in Lancashire to have what I describe as one of the best playgrounds in the world. Withy Grove Park in Bamber Bridge is, in my opinion, South Ribble Borough Council's greatest asset so it's no wonder that they take great pride in maintaining the facilities.
The playground is so immense that it has separate, named sections. There is a zip wire, a massive sand pit, a climbing frame that would be a challenge for a grown-up to scale, swings, rock walls, a skate park, a merry-go-round and even specialist equipment for disabled children.The playground is so immense that it has separate, named sections.
The playground is fully secure with a perimeter fence so you don't need to worry about toddlers wandering off and there are ample picnic tables for parents to sit at - or for families to enjoy a packed lunch. The playground forms part of Bamber Bridge's largest green space with the woodland park next to it. There's a calming reed pond and loads of little pockets of trees and shrubs to explore.
